He had already spent decades working for the US Forest Service in varied capacities from smokejumper to public affairs officer. Over a period of four years, he completed the 2,650-mile scenic trail from Mexico to Canada in sections. Stewart will share his stories and pictures from this journey of a lifetime with us.
