First on the Block

FIRST ON THE BLOCK
Do you love reading new books that were recently published? Would you like to get a chance to read new books before anybody else does?

If you are an avid reader between the ages of 9-18 you might be interested in becoming a member of our First on the Block reviewers group. Some books are made available to bookstores and reviewers prior to the official date of release. These are called Advance Reader Copies, or ARCS. They're a mixed bag; there are good ones, some of less appeal, but often really great ones are available. As a member of First on the Block, you get ARC's to read, and all we ask in return is for a book review between 150-250 words. For every review we print in our Cyberpassage newsletter or post on our website, you'll gain a credit reward that can be used for books in the store.

If you're interested in becoming a First on the Block reviewer drop off a review of one of your favorite books (150-250 words) with your contact information. Our access to ARC's is limited, which means we have to limit membership in First on the Block. Once we accept you as a reviewer we will begin providing you with ARC's to read.
